Tibetan & Holistic Healing Clinic

The move from being a practicing Tibetan Doctor in India to the USA and the 10 years as a student of Tibetan Medicine to Doctor of Tibetan Medicine has been a huge transition for both Tsundu Sengye and Nashalla Gwyn Nyinda as they transitioned to Boulder, CO in late 2009.

Nashalla left Boulder, CO in early 2005 to study Tibetan Medicine at Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute and Tibetan language at the Manjushri Institute for Tibetan Studies in Darjeeling, India under the direct request of her root teacher. This is where she met and married Dr. Tsundu, a Tibetan medicine pharmacist and clinic doctor at Chagpori Institute. The two years she remained in India to study medicine and language eventually led her to join the Shang Shung Institute of Tibetan Medicine. This is where she completed her last 2 years of study, finally graduating with the title of amchi, or menpa after many years seeking training.

Now with beautiful mountains in full view and sunny days they are happy to announce the opening of their Tibetan Medicine Clinic in Boulder, CO. They will continue to travel and teach about Tibetan medicine, giving clinics and consultations in various cities around the country. Their regular patients in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico will be able to see them more frequently now that Boulder is their home base. Nashalla is glad to be home at long last! Her parents are equally glad to have them near and their grandson close.

Located in the heart of Boulder at 3000 Pearl suite 203 the Tibetan and Holistic Healing Clinic officially opened in January 2010. This holistic health care practice provides a range of services to meet the needs of individuals seeking Traditional Tibetan Medicine, alternative and complimentary healing for the body, mind and spiritual levels. These two Traditional Tibetan Medical Doctors work both together and individually offering full traditional Tibetan medicine consults, Tibetan kunye massage, Tibetan acupressure and a variety of external therapies.

While Traditional Tibetan Medicine is the core of their practice, incorporated is the interface with western medicine, herbalism and nutrition. Tsundu draws on his expertise as a Tibetan Doctor trained in India and as a Tibetan who shares his cultural understanding of the medicine when asked. He is also trained in Acupuncture, both the traditional Tibetan style and the TCM seen so prominently these days around the world. Nashalla has multiple modalities she draws upon from her previous studies. These include Ayurveda, Taoist five element healing, Jin Shin Tara, trauma renegotiation for the health of the nervous system and Plant Spirit Medicine. All these systems of traditional and energy medicine play a part of her methodology and understanding of what is happening for a person. She will make recommendations for a variety of treatments based on what she feels is the best fit for the individuals needs.

They welcome the opportunity to provide complementary care, regularly and openly consulting with Western MD’s, specialists and other practitioners of healing to make each individuals healing journey well rounded.

Tibetan Doctors specialize in chronic ailments such as diabetes, liver and digestive disorders, nerve system imbalances, insomnia, and anxiety to name just a few. But you don't have to be out of balanced or have a issue to see the Tibetan doctor. Finding health and balancing your body and mind are great preventives to future illness. Dietary and lifestyle assessment are essential in the client becoming and active participant in their healing process.
